Were you at the Stumptown Comics Fest April 24 & 25? Dr. Sketchy’s Portland was.
Saturday, April 24, in the Lloyd Center Doubletree Hotel, artists and aspiring artists, spent a relaxing hour off the convention floor and did some drawing. We provided a beautiful model in an elaborate costume; Muse Art & Design provided art supplies. This special all-ages session featured NYC’s sultry siren of burlesque, Miss Harvest Moon.
Sunday, April 25, before the Fest became but a fond memory, in-the-know Art Monkeys headed over to the upstairs lounge at the Bossanova Ballroom (722 E. Burnside) for Portland’s monthly Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School session with Miss Harvest Moon. This Dr. Sketchy’s event was part of the Stumptown Volunteer Appreciation and After-Fest Party with DJ Paul Pope.

Hi Dr. Sketchy’s!
I just opened an Art Bar where we have food, beer, wine and art supplies. We’re in NW Portland on 18th and Upshur. We’ve been doing costume model gigs on Saturdays. We’d love to set up an event for Dr. Sketchy’s or have you guys attend our reg scheduled costume model nights (usually Saturdays although this Saturday we have live music in it’s place, but you could still sketch the musician!!). http://www.thecanvaspdx.com with links to Facebook/Twitter with pics of the space, etc.
This sounds cool. Check it out Art Monkeys!
